Frequently asked questions
Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?
No. The merge runs in your browser with JavaScript, so the documents never leave your device. That makes the tool safe for contracts, payslips and medical records.
How many PDF files can I merge at once?
There is no fixed limit in the tool, but very large batches depend on the memory your browser gives the page. A few dozen ordinary documents usually work fine.
Can I change the order of the files?
Yes. The list shows every file you added, and you can drag an entry up or down until the sequence is exactly what you need before merging.
Will bookmarks and form fields survive the merge?
Page content, text and images are copied as they are. Interactive form fields and internal bookmarks may not behave the same after merging, so check the result if the original relied on them.
Does merging reduce the quality of the pages?
No. The pages are copied into the new document rather than re-rendered, so text stays sharp and images keep their original resolution.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
A file that requires a password to open cannot be read by the tool. Remove the protection in your PDF reader first, then add the unlocked file here.
