Text and developer tools
Edit text, check structured data and generate passwords or QR codes, with inputs and files kept in your browser.

Choose for writing or development
- When an article must fit a length limit, use Word counter and character counter to check the draft.
- To see what changed between two versions of a note, open Diff Compare and inspect the lines.
- When an API response is difficult to read, choose JSON Toolkit to validate and format its structure.
- For a pattern that needs testing against sample text, use Regex Tester and inspect matches and replacements.
- To share a link or Wi-Fi details as an image, use QR code generator and select PNG or SVG.
From everyday wording to structured data
Writing tools help with counts, letter case, comparisons and Markdown previews. Developer utilities cover structured data, URL encoding and slugs, regular expressions, hashes and Base64, alongside password generation. Inputs and files are processed locally in your browser, without uploading their contents. Pick the tool by the operation needed rather than by the extension alone.
Formatting does not prove that data means what an application expects. The JSON parser rejects comments and trailing commas; YAML conversion produces JSON and drops comments. Regex behaviour follows the browser’s JavaScript engine, so other engines may differ. Large inputs can slow processing or exhaust device memory, and password strength estimates are only rough indicators.
Questions about text and generated output
Why is the word count different from my editor?
Applications can split words differently around punctuation, numbers and languages without spaces. Browser language support also affects segmentation. If a submission requires a particular editor’s count, compare your draft in that editor before submitting.
Does Base64 protect the contents of a message?
Base64 represents data in another form; it is not encryption. Someone with the encoded value can decode it. Hashing serves a different purpose again, so choose according to the operation your workflow requires.
Can I edit a QR code after downloading it?
The generated code contains static content. To change an embedded address or Wi-Fi detail, generate a new image. A linked page can change separately, but the address stored in the code stays the same.
Will my draft remain after I close the tab?
Storage depends on the tool. The word counter offers optional saving in the current browser profile, where other users of that profile may access it. Copy or download work you need to keep.
