Match the tool to your image task

  • When a form rejects a WebP picture, use WEBP to JPG Converter to create a JPG copy.
  • For photos that take too much space, choose Image compressor and compare file sizes after adjusting quality.
  • If a banner needs specific dimensions, open Resize image in pixels or by percentage and check the cropping options.
  • When an application cannot open an iPhone photo, try HEIC to JPG Converter and inspect the converted image.
  • To use a vector logo in a document requiring pixels, choose SVG to PNG Converter for a raster copy.

Formats, dimensions and file size

Changing a format, reducing dimensions and compressing a picture solve different problems. Start with the requirement of the destination: accepted file type, pixel dimensions or a size limit. Images are processed locally in your browser; source files are not uploaded. The collection also includes editing tools and a favicon generator for website icons.

JPG output replaces transparency with a background and can introduce compression artefacts. Saving a JPG as PNG cannot restore detail already lost. Re-encoding through the image converter removes metadata, and animated inputs become still images. Browser format support and available device memory affect which pictures and batch sizes can be processed.

Image conversion questions

Which output should I choose for a transparent logo?

PNG is useful when transparent areas and crisp edges matter. WebP can also carry transparency when supported by your destination. JPG cannot retain transparent pixels, so inspect the chosen background before saving.

Why does lowering quality barely change my PNG?

PNG output does not use the lossy quality setting applied to JPG or WebP. Reducing dimensions can reduce its size; changing format is another option when the destination accepts it.

Can I process a batch on my phone?

Batch tools can work in a compatible mobile browser, but large photos consume memory when decoded. Start with a small group and check the downloaded results before adding a larger collection.

Does choosing a KB target guarantee that size?

The resizer attempts JPG and WebP targets by adjusting quality and sometimes dimensions. It reports when a target is missed. PNG does not use this target setting, so check the actual output size.
