How to convert an image
- Drop one or more pictures onto the panel, or click Choose images and pick them from your disk.
- Pick the output format: JPG for photos, PNG for graphics with sharp edges, WebP for small files on the web.
- Move the quality slider for JPG or WebP, and choose a background colour if the picture has transparent areas.
- Type a value in Longest side if you want a smaller copy; leave it empty to keep the original dimensions.

Frequently asked questions
Which formats can I open?
Anything your browser can decode: JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF (first frame), BMP, AVIF, ICO and SVG. HEIC and HEIF photos from an iPhone are also accepted — the decoder is loaded only when the first such file arrives.
Are my pictures uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion happens on a canvas inside your browser tab. Nothing is sent anywhere, and no copy of your file is stored.
What happens to EXIF data?
Canvas output carries no metadata, so the camera model, the date and the GPS position are dropped. The EXIF orientation is already applied when the picture is drawn, so the result is not rotated.
Why is my WebP file saved as PNG?
Some browsers cannot encode WebP. When that happens the tool tells you instead of saving a file with the wrong extension. Choose JPG or PNG for those browsers.
Does converting to JPG lose quality?
JPG is lossy, so a small amount of detail is dropped. At the default quality of 90 the difference is hard to see; raise it to 100 for the best result and a larger file.
Can I convert many files at once?
Yes. Add as many as you like; they are processed one after another, and Download all (ZIP) packs the finished files into a single archive.
